About the Artist  I am a self-inspired landscape artist (oil and acrylic) with no formal training. I started painting when I was 15 years old and continued through high school, but took about a 25-year hiatus. I had forgotten how relaxing and gratifying it is watching a painting unfold on a canvas. I paint for the pure enjoyment of it and prefer to capture the beauty of nature in a realistic form. I am a computer graphic artist by trade, currently working as a digital image retoucher and pre-press technician responsible for the color artwork for wine labels in the Napa Valley. I wouldn't mind it at all if I could spend my day painting leisurely, check out various antique stores, and play drums with my dog, Max, at my side!
